[This is an edited version - the one previously posted wasn't the latest saved version. You guys must have been wondering why I started the post so abruptly with "We left our place at 11am and made our way out to take the Muni to Powell." My apologies. Don't know what went on with WordPress.]
Finally, Saturday arrived! My busy bee boyfriend was kind enough to have me plopped right into his packed work schedule. You have no idea how much I had been itching to go out. So we decided to go to Westfield and Union Square, which is supposedly the most popular shopping district of San Francisco. If you have any suggestions, please do let me know.
I got all dressed up and was ready to set out at 11. Thank goodness the weather was in our favor.
Would have been disastrous if it rained on the day that was finally dedicated to me.
Making our way out to take the Muni to Westfield
It was a long 15-minute wait for the muni to arrive, so life we always do, we started taking pictures of each other.
My boy is never camera shy.
We have arrived! But first…lunch!
Ordered Thai food at the Food Emporium / Thai chicken curry & fried rice (the rice was blehhh)
Phad Thai and Thai sweet & sour fish
Wasn’t ready for the camera, but oh well…
A Hello Kitty Sanrio shop with all things Hello Kitty
Even Hello Kitty golf clubs! Can’t imagine anyone bringing this onto a golf course. How odd. The first thing I picture when I thought of this was Paris Hilton wearing her 6-inch stilettos, carrying her chihuahua and attempting to golf at the same time. I have a very eccentric imagination – I know. Haha. Don’t judge.
Candid shot of me looking silly at H&M.
Love the architecture here. Everything looks so different from what we see in Singapore.
Got me a hot Starbucks venti Americano!
It might have only been 3 in the afternoon, but can you spot the moon?
The giganormoous Christmas tree at Union Square
Hello, it’s me again!
We walked around until 4.30 and went by BCBGMaxazria to wait for Vincent to pick us up.
About a week ago, we made plans to go Lake Tahoe tomorrow, and as last minute as any creature of the male species can be, we were only just about to get our ski equipment. 4 guys vs. 1 girl, I had no power to influence their poor time management.
We decided to rent the stuff instead of buying them. Unless it miraculously snows in Singapore, we saw no need in paying so much just to buy and keep them.
Rental rates. FYI.
Found the perfect fit! :)
While waiting for them to get our skis ready.
Voila! And we’re all set to go!
The people at this store were so friendly, even I couldn’t contain my friendliness with them. It was late and they must have been working all day since morning, but that chirpiness in their voices were contagious. Loved the experience.
I can’t quite remember what this place is called though. Anyone knows? I’ll definitely share it with you guys once I recall. The place was huge, variety of sports wear and equipment was limitless, things were reasonably priced, and most importantly, the staff working there were just great to have around.
I’ll get back on the store details. But till then, Lake Tahoe tomorrow! I’ve got to get up in 5 hours, so goodnight everyone! <3
I’m off to bed.
